Modern 2D Vegetation / Documentation
Checking Your Scene
Find common setup problems before rebuilding data.
Check the Area
- Select the Vegetation Area. Check that it is enabled and covers the place where you want to paint.
- Assign a Type Set with at least one valid sprite. Check its material and sorting layer.
- Paint a few plants near the camera before increasing the amount.
Check the project
- Use URP with a 2D Renderer. Read the first Console error if vegetation is pink or missing.
- Keep World Data and its .meta file. Runtime Data and the atlas can be rebuilt; World Data stores your plants.
- Try a Player build as well as Play Mode. Follow Testing Your Game for a short checklist.
